MGRI graduate student from China becomes laureate of the Russian-Chinese Student Art Festival "Symphony of Youth"

The performance of Zhu Shuan, a Master’s degree student of Sergo Ordzhonikidze Russian State University for Geological Prospecting (MGRI), became one of the best in the category "Conversational Genre" and selected for screening at the gala-concert of the festival.

Zhu Shuan is fascinated with the prose and poetry of the Soviet period, as well as with classical Russian literature. She considers it extremely important and necessary to develop cooperation between China and Russia in the field of culture and art.

The festival was held by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation along with the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China and was dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Russian-Chinese Treaty of Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation. 55 universities took part in the festival from Russia, and 35 – from China. The participants showed genuine interest in the culture of both countries.

Zhu Shuan comes from the city of Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province. She studied at the Faculty of Chemistry of Harbin Normal University, and then decided to continue her studies in MGRI, since we provide high-quality higher education and the cost of training is relatively low.

"In China, I actively cooperated with the Hebei Geological University, with which MGRI has signed a cooperation agreement. Therefore, the choice is where to study in Russia was predetermined and obvious," -  shares the student.
