Another win for MGRI students in Economics
Alexandra Demchenko, a student of the Faculty of Economics and Management, became the winner of the final stage of the international financial security Olympiad held from 3 to 9 October at the site of the federal educational center "Sirius" in Sochi.
MGRI student was awarded a 2nd-degree diploma in the direction "Economics, finance and credit, economic security". The semi-finals were attended by tens of thousands of students and only 500 of them were selected for the finals.
“The program of the final stage of the Olympiad was rich and interesting. Participants attended lectures hosted by presidential administration and top-representatives of various banks as well as speakers from Central Bank of Russia. In addition to master classes, there was a fairly rich entertainment program: excursions, hockey matches, concerts and walking around Sochi and Adler”, – said Alexandra Demchenko.
President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation for Digital Economy and Innovation Dmitry Chernyshenko greeted the participants on the Olympiad. The competition was held under the patronage of the Federal Service for Financial Monitoring of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Bank of Russia, the International Network AML/CFT Institute, RUDN University and other organizations.
